Put a photo of an estate agent’s plan or a scanned drawing under the grid and draw over it. CAD users can import a DXF instead.
Open the scanner on your phone and walk the room with its camera, or its LiDAR sensor if it has one. The walls arrive in the plan on your computer.
Say how many bedrooms and what you need. Caddy drafts three layouts — balanced, open-plan and executive — and checks room sizes against the Nationally Described Space Standard.
Enter a wall length in metres, centimetres or feet and inches. Show dimensions in metric, imperial or both, measured along the centreline, the clear inside face or the outside of the walls.
Walls snap to 45° and 90° with the ortho lock on. Rooms and their areas are found from the walls as you draw, and the measure and dimension tools handle everything else.
One click builds the model, with doors and windows cut into the walls. Stack every floor at once, cut the walls down to look inside, and switch between day and night.
Drop to eye level and walk around as if you were standing there. Walls stop you just as real ones would, so you get an honest sense of how much room there is.
Add extract fans, cooker hoods, trickle vents, MVHR valves or a split air conditioner. The plan shows where air goes stale, checks extract rates against Building Regulations Part F, and suggests better spots for each device.
The simulation is an indicative guide, not a CFD model or a compliance sign-off.
Turn on escape routes and every door gets an EXIT marker, with an arrow from each room to its nearest exit. Useful for safety planning and landlord paperwork.
For a clean picture of the 3D view, take a high-resolution snapshot straight from the camera.
