Is the Floor Planner free?
Yes. The free plan lets you place up to 15 items — walls, furniture, doors and windows. For unlimited items, floors and layers it is £5 per month, cancel any time.
What counts as one of the 15 free items?
Each wall segment, furniture piece, door and window counts as one item. Rooms are detected automatically from your walls and do not count toward the limit.
Do I need an account to use it?
No account is needed to start drawing. You only need to create a (free) account and subscribe for £5/month when you want unlimited items.
How does the 3D view work?
One click switches between the 2D editor and an interactive, orbitable 3D model. Anything you edit in 2D updates the 3D instantly, and vice-versa. Windows and doors are cut into the 3D walls.
What formats can I export?
High-resolution PNG and JPEG, vector SVG, DXF for CAD programs, a print-to-scale PDF (1:50 or 1:100) and a Wavefront .OBJ for 3D applications.
Can I undo mistakes?
Yes — there is unlimited undo and redo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z), a full searchable history timeline you can jump around, named version snapshots, and automatic crash recovery.
Does it support multiple floors and layers?
Yes. You can add, duplicate and delete floors, and organise elements onto layers that you can show or hide independently.
Are the measurements accurate and to scale?
You can set exact wall lengths in metres, room areas are calculated automatically, and the PDF export prints to a true scale of your choosing.
What are the fire escape routes?
A single toggle overlays an EXIT marker on every door and draws an escape route arrow from each room to its nearest exit — handy for safety planning and landlord documentation.
Is my work saved automatically?
Yes. Your plan autosaves in your browser and is restored automatically when you return — even after an unexpected crash or refresh.
How do I cancel the subscription?
You can cancel any time from your account. You keep unlimited access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Can I use it on a phone or tablet?
It runs in any modern browser. A laptop or desktop with a larger screen is recommended for detailed editing, but you can view and present plans anywhere.
